Don't miss: Hull City v Arsenal
Hull's memorable victory at the Emirates in September 2008 marked the high water-mark of manager Phil Brown's Premier League success. The period since has been hard-going for 'The Tigers', and they really need to take some points from tonight's exclusively live fixture if they're to stand a fighting chance of beating the dreaded drop. But Arsenal also requires a maximum return - so this should be a fascinating fixture.

Wigan v Liverpool
This is the type of fixture which must bring Rafael Benitez out into a cold sweat. Because the clock is ticking down on Liverpool’s attempts to end this Premier League season in the top four...and tonight’s match is no easy away trip. Despite a nine-goal mauling at Tottenham, Wigan have progressed this season under the shrewd stewardship of Spain’s quietly impressive Roberto Martinez. And this really is a must-win match for the Reds...

Detroit Red Wings v Calgary Flames
To the rest of the world, Calgary entered the public consciousness when they hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics – at which Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards starred. But to ice-hockey followers the Calgary Flames have long been one of the NHL’s big noises. However, the team have under-performed this season and face a difficult visit this evening to hit-and-miss Detroit.

UEFA Europa League Double Header
Thursday nights just haven’t been the same since the Europa League entered into hibernation for its winter break. But they’re about to be (quite literally) re-booted, as the competition enters into its next exciting phase. Liverpool, Everton and Fulham will all continue to feature, and ESPN’s accent on covering English teams continues this evening. Tonight’s first match is a tea-time kick-off, whilst the second starts at 8:00pm.
Fri 12 Mar 7:30PM
FC Schalke v VFB Stuttgart
Schalke made a big signing during last summer’s transfer window...but for a manager rather than a player. The Bundesliga’s ace coach – and former German international player – Felix Magath. Successfully tempted away from Wolfsburg, the Hamburg playing legend has fully lived up to his reputation by taking his new side – considered previously to be mid-table mediocrities – to the fringes of the title chase. However, to stay in touch they really must win tonight.
Fri 12 Mar 12:00AM
Chicago Bulls v Cleveland Cavaliers
The Bulls are the bigger-name team (thanks to the exploits of Michael Jordan during the 1990s) but it's the Cavaliers who are enjoying the better 2009/10 NBA season; leading even the legendary Boston Celtics in the race for the eastern Conference title. Tonight's midnight tip-off time (on a Friday night, to boot) encourages British basketball fans to sit back and enjoy the best on-court action that the world has to offer.
Sat 13 Mar 7:45PM
Napoli v Fiorentina
Napoli might not quite be the force that they were twenty years ago - when Maradona and Careca spear-headed their attack; the best in the world at that time - but have made a notable return to Serie A in recent seasons, particularly this year, as they are pushing for a Champions League spot . Last month, they managed to hold runaway leaders Inter Milan to a draw. So this is a tricky trip for Fiorentina.
Sun 14 Mar 4:30PM
Bayer Leverkusen v Hamburg
Just a few weeks ago, Leverkusen appeared to be cruising to the Bundesliga title, but Bayern Munich's immense run of recent form threatens to deny them at the last. That means that they need to take all three points from this match. But Hamburg are also on the fringes of the title chase, and will offer no easy opposition.
Mon 15 Mar 7:00PM
Liverpool v Portsmouth
The disappointing extent of Liverpool's season has been widely debated...but the fact remains that they remain within easy reach of the Champions' League places. A win tonight, however, is essential...though that phrase could also be applied to Portsmouth. Pompey have experienced the ultimate roller-coaster of a season, but could still yet escape relegation? A must-see Monday night match, exclusively live on ESPN.
Tue 16 Mar 7:00PM
Florida Panthers v Washington Capitals
Ice-hockey isn't the first sport that you'd instantly associate with 'the sunshine state', and so perhaps it should come as little surprise that the Panthers have experienced a truly underwhelming NHL season; losing a full thirty matches before even February was out. The Capitals meanwhile, are enjoying an inspired campaign and will expect to win here tonight.

UEFA Europa League - Double Header
Fulham's two, tremendous tussles with Shakhtar Donetsk have proved emblematic of the Europa League in its debut season - the continent's most intriguing (and also, often, most entertaining) football competition. The fun and games continues tonight - with very possibly, at least one English team involved - as a double-header of football action kicks off with a tea-timed treat.
