Around the World in 80 Days
BBC Factual
Following in the footsteps of a fictional character is never easy but if anyone’s up to the task it’s that most loveable of Pythons, Michael Palin .Join him as he sets off on one of Jules Verne’s slightly easier adventures – circumnavigating the globe in less than 80 days using any method other than flight. Sadly the BBC currently has no plans to send Palin 20,000 leagues under the sea, from the Earth to the Moon or even to the centre of the Earth. Still plenty to keep you entertained.

Ray Mears Bushcraft
BBC Factual
Ray Mears understands that the people to look to for tips on how to survive in the wild are in fact our ancestors. They knew how to get by on an antelope horn and a bit of sharp rock and still be happy enough to raise the families that led to us. Talk about getting back to basics...

Battles BC
History
In the really olden days, wars meant getting as close to the enemy as possible and hacking at them as hard as you could. But as history has shown, it wasn’t always the side with the greatest numbers or with the most plumes on their helmets that won. There was plenty of scope for a bit of brilliant general-ing too. Expect all of the above from this great series.
