How to: use the child lock function
If you want to be able to stop your children from watching unsuitable content, there are two ways in which you can do this.
1. You can control how the Top Up TV Anytime content is viewed by setting the certification rating. All of our content will show a rating (e.g. 12, PG etc), and you can set the rating at a level which if a programme has a higher rating, you will be prompted for your pin to continue viewing.
2. You can also set the hours of viewing in which a pin will always be required. Note that, as the Top Up TV Anytime content is downloaded overnight, if you set the hours to include this, it will always require a PIN.
To modify the Child Lock settings:
- go to MENU
- Set Up
- then Child Lock
- then change the appropriate setting(s).
To change your PIN:
The default PIN number is 0000. To change your PIN number is easy:
- press MENU, go to Set Up, then Child Lock.
- Enter your existing PIN then press RED button on your remote and enter your new PIN.
